Blendabilities, I am in Love!

Every Stampin' Up! Demonstrator will tell you that some of the happiest days for them are the days they get new products in the mail.  Today was one of those days for me.  I am thrilled with the new catalog and products inside.  Here is a taste of what you will be able to order starting June 2nd.

Haha!  Ignore the trash bags off to the side.

And my Project Life kit came as well.  I have big plans for this kit to make an album of my adorable grandson.

The box of card inserts has 100 cards.  No two cards are exactly the same!
Now for a few samples of what I have been doing with my new toys.  The Blendablilities markers that I used for the flowers are absolutely amazing!  They blend so well and are priced much better that Copic markers.

Aren't they gorgeous?  If you want to learn how to use these markers or Project Life then contact me and we will set a time!

Happy Stamping!

Hi Stampers!

Thought I would share this adorable gift card holder that I had to make for a wedding this weekend.  When you lift the flap the gift card pulls up and reveals your stamped message.  We made these cute gift card holders at my stamp club on Tuesday.  If you are interested in joining our stamp club we will be starting a new club year in August.  Send an email or give me a call.

Hi Stampers!

I just found a very cool idea for storing all of your embossing powders.  The containers fit perfectly into a K-cup carousel!  Wow!  Now that is clever!  (okay maybe a little too excited here)

By storing your powders this way you have very easy access and visual to what you have and need.

Here are two different k-cup holders.  I love the one that has been decorated with a little bling!  Aren't these Great?

Happy stamping everyone!

Happy Tuesday Morning Everyone.

Thought I would share a card I made the other day using the Hexagon Hives Thinlit Die for the Big Shot.  This is the first I have used this die since purchasing it.  It was not a die I thought I would like much and so I did not plan to buy it.  However, as happens so often, I began seeing so many pretty samples using this die and decided I just had to have it.  Hope you enjoy this card.

You Make Me Happy

Happy Saturday stamping friends!  I have a couple different things to share with you today that I think you will love.  Before I show the card I need to give a shout out to Brandy Cox for this amazing technique of a Braided Card and to Patty Bennett for her beautiful watercolor technique that requires no water.  I have noticed lately that I am gravitating toward my spring colors.  I really don't want to even look at my regals color collection right now.  Spring is a long way off in Northern NH so changing my color scheme is the next best thing.

Today, as I feel a cold coming, on I decided to "rest" by giving these two techniques a try.  Here are the results.

Here is a video for this technique:

This is what I used to make the watercolor flower without water.  The paper is the new watercolor wonder designer series paper in the Stampin' Up Spring Catalog and the stamp set is Happy Watercolor also in the same catalog.  I also used Daffodil Delight ink even though it is not pictured.  Here is a link to this technique:

I hope you enjoy trying these techniques out.  Now for one more thing I want to share with you.  Recently a friend of mine, who is new to stamping, asked how do I store all of my "stuff".  It is a good question (thanks Eileen).  I have a small space and it is not the most glamorous of spaces but I thought maybe I would on occasion just share some tips for storing different items.  Here is a picture of how I store loose items like bakers twine and stickles glue.

Here I have just wound my twine around a clothes pin, labeled it and clipped the end of the twin into the clothespin to keep from unraveling.

These are the jars I use. They are Bath and Body candle jars that I cleaned out. They stack nicely on my shelf, and I can instantly see what is inside. A tip to get the candle wax out is to freeze the container for 30 minutes, then you can carefully pop the wax out with a knife or try turning the jar upside down and hitting the bottom with the palm of your hand to release the wax. Put it through the dishwasher and you are done.

Have a great week everyone!

Card In A Box

Have you seen a Card In A Box?  It is the new hot thing to make in stamping.  When I first saw one I thought it seemed too labor intensive and so I did not try it.  However, there have been so many posts on Pinterest and other card making blogs that I finally gave in and tried one.  Wow!  Am I glad I did.  Yes, it did take a little time, but the process was sooo much fun.  In fact, I plan to teach it at my stamp club sometime soon.  This is my first attempt at making one.  It is for my mom.  My dad died in May 2013 and their 52nd Anniversary would have been on February 17th.  I sent this to her today to just lift her spirits a bit.  Hope you enjoy it too!
This is the card folded and ready to mail.  I created an envelope for it with the envelope punch board and then put it in a small manilla envelope.  It only cost 70 cents to mail.  Not bad!

When you open the box this is what you get.  My husband said it is the neatest card technique he has ever seen.

Just a different angle

Has It Really Been That Long?

Hi stampers,
I had taken a break during Christmas and when I got back on my blog today I was shocked at how long it had really been since I had posted.  I hope each of you had a wonderful time with family this Christmas.  Now to get back on track. There is a new Paper Pumpkin Promotion going on right now.  Sign up between now and February 10th and get a FREE 2012-2014 In Color Marker set!  Those markers cost $14.95 so this an awesome deal.  If you have been thinking of signing up then now is the time. Why not purchase Paper Pumpkin as gifts for others?  You can stock up on some really adorable products and then give a wonderful gift to someone special.  And don't forget you can cancel at anytime.

I apologize for the blurry photo.  I can't get it to come out right.  All the info is in the paragraph above and you can check out my older blog on Paper Pumpkin for more details.

Here are a some cards I made today from items out of the new Stampin' Up! Occasions Catalog.
Hope you enjoy them.

This card uses a retired stamp set called Great North Woods.  The post card stamp is available in our current catalog.

I made these cute little guys from the new stamp set "Simple Stems" in the Occasions catalog.

Happy Watercolor stamp set was used here.

This is also created using the Happy Watercolor stamp set.

HAPPY STAMPING EVERYONE!
